Deep Thought Thursday

If you had a school for professional fireworks people, I don't think you could cover fuses in just one class. It's just too rich a subject.

I know it's a day late... but Happy 4th of July everyone!!!

Happy Birthday Hi-D!

Today is my Hi-D's birthday... and for her present, I told her I would get back on my blog and get it going for reals this time!  (I wrote that using a southern accent for some reason- so please read it the same way.)  ;)

Hi-D (who really does write her name as Heidi...) and I met YEARS ago when we were roommates back at good old SUU.  She promptly became one of my most favorite people EVER and still is to this day.  She put up with my non-stop talk of certain guys, and was the founder of stealing our neighbors shirts to wear for the day.  She makes me color my hair when I'm too nervous just to do it, and she once wrote the best poem I've ever read and illustrated.

She's probably terribly embarassed at this point, so I'll stop, but I hope she knows how dearly I appreciate her and how much her friendship has and still does mean to me.  (I'm sorry I don't say it enough!)  Love you my Hi-D!!!

#1 #1  #1!!!

Love,
Tam Tam

Technology... I tell ya!

So I've had the same laptop for almost 8 years now.  Maybe only 7... regardless, a long time.  It's still working, but is pretty slow.  What can you expect from a grandpa laptop?

Well a few weeks ago, my lovely mommy bought me a new one.  It's great and runs a million times faster (as I expected it would) but alas... I only had it for 3 weeks and it broke!  After only 3 WEEKS!  I had the other for YEARS and nothing.  One tiny virus towards the end, but that was it.  Oh technology.

The moral of the story is that I got the laptop fixed and now can get back to bringing you the world's loveliest blogs!

I thought you would like that!

Deep Thought Thursday

As the snow started to fall, he tugged his coat tighter around himself. Too tight, as it turned out.
"This is the fourth coat crushing this year", said the sergeant as he outlined the body with a special pencil that writes on snow.
Be carefuly out there today everyone!

Happy Snow Day!!!

Memory Monday

I'm stealing this idea from Melissa...  at least for this Monday.

This was one of my favorite songs growing up and I just heard it again this week on "The Real Girl".  I loved it just as much as they did!

(Plus my new computer is broken and with the Geek Squad... My other one is old and cranky tonight.  I hope Chuck will fix the new one up all spiffy...)

My Weekend In Review

What a beautiful weekend it was!  In the mid-80's the whole time.

Here is a liitle review of what I did...

To start off I got a call from them:

We took more pictures than this... but for some reason, my phone doesn't want to download them right now.

While together we got treats from here:

Very delicious!

We also visited here:

And here:

Apparently we can not get enough books!  (It's true.)

Soon after that, the Skinners had to leave, but much fun was had.  We shared fun memories and reminisced about funny movie and TV show jokes.

Afterwards, I went on a nice walk home, read some of this:

(Really good book- though we totally don't have the same candy taste AT ALL!)

and watched an episode of this:

and this:

In the middle of it all, I did some of this:

Yes... I looked that adorable!  :)

Today, Sunday, I mostly rested and hung out with this princess:

How cute is she!!!!  (I just thought it had been awile since most of you have seen her...)

Now I'm writing to you and watching this:

I talked to some friends this weekend and just enjoyed myself.

All in all... not too shabby!

Deep Thought Thursday...

If you're robbing a bank and you're pants fall down, I think it's okay to laugh and to let the hostages laugh too, because, come on, life is funny.

Top Ten Things I Did Over Christmas...

I had a lovely Christmas... Here's what I did.

10-  Ate plenty of this:

oK, I probably didn't eat any of this... but I did eat a lot of food and it was all yummy!  And I always picture my dinners this fancy.  :)

9-  And lots of this:

Again, not this pretty, except in my head...

8-  Watched TONS of Christmas movies.  For example:

and the BEST one of all...

Oh Ralphie...  (I'm pretty sure I became an elf after all the Christmas joy I put into my brain!)

7-  I had some very nice of these to open up:

6-  I wore the comfiest of these the whole weekend long:

They weren't the Jetsons... but they WERE Christmas Story!  Yay!

5-  I went and visited great friends.  We also ate and opened presents and watched lovely Christmas movies.  It doesn't seem there is much else to do during Christmas.  ;)

It wasn't actually these guys... but I love them all the same.  (Who wants to be Joey?)

4-  Went and checked out houses that look similar to this:

3-  I read some Christmas versions of these:

2- Talked to my family so much!

1-  And behaved very well to ensure that he would come!

I hope you all had the very Merriest of Christmases!!!  It's the most wonderful time of the yeeeaaaarrrrr!  :)

My Blog Pact With You

My dear readers,
(If I even have any left...)

I'm sorry I've been away so long, with empty promises of coming back, only to tease you with one entry, and then disappearing yet again.

No more!  This time, I mean it.  I will write to you like I've never written before!!!  (Or at least like I haven't written in the last few months...)  I'll show you pictures and tell you what amazing (aka ridiculous) thing I've done next.  You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll be begging for more.  (Or begging for me to stop.)  Regardless, please don't leave me yet.  Please give me one more shot!  I already have fun plans coming up to tell you about and stories galore.  If you'll promise to read, I'll promise to write.

Thank you for your kindness and patience,

--T

Top Ten Things I Did This Halloween

Sorry I was gone this weekend... right after I said I was back.  But it was Halloween weekend. My most favorite holiday EVER!  And I enjoyed it to the fullest!  Here's what I did....

10.  Dressed up like this:

9.  Ate lots of candy!  Yum!

8.  Watched this movie on TV and scared myself silly:

It was on FX... but even though it was edited, it was still pretty darn scary!  I did have to watch some cartoons afterwards.  But I loved it!  It's been a long time since a movie got me that good.

7.  I also watched this movie... which was not as scary, but so much fun!

If you haven't seen this, you must!  So great!

6.  This was the cartoons I watched to help me recover from The Strangers:

I have a DVD of them, including my most favorite "The Shinning".  It helped me not think about scary people climbing up on my balcony!

5.  Did I mention I ate lots of candy?  Maybe too much...  (can you eat too much candy?)

4.  I read some scary kids stories.  Just short ones, but they were fun.  Didn't really scare me, but helped me keep in the Halloween mood.

3.  Listened to some fun Halloween music.  We had some playing at the bookstore and some of those songs I wouldn't really consider "Halloween", but to each their own, I guess.

2.  Wore this awesome costume:

1.  Hung out and tormented Kitty.  She likes to sleep the days away... but NOT Halloween!!!  Oh, and I ate some candy!

All in all, a good weekend.  I did some other things... but these were my favorites.

Hope you had a great one too!!!

Yay Halloween!

I love Halloween for many reasons... one is because I get to wear things like this...

These are the bottom halves of Kitty and I today.  We're quite lovely I must say...

I think my plans tonight are getting cancelled, which makes me all the happier because there will be very special episodes of these shows on:

Hip Hip Hooray!  Maybe one of them will help me figure out what I want to be for Halloween this year... any suggestions?!?

(PS... Sorry I've been away for a bit... but now I'm back!  For reals this time!)  :)
